JUSTIFICATIONS RTC 5

  • The Department meeting minutes for Tuesday 26th May, 2015 shows that I share my resources with my colleagues and other department teachers. The Head of Faculty had asked me to share the template that I was using for my weekly planning at a Department meeting. It was used as an example to show other department teachers how these plans can be written in electronic forms. It enables teachers to do their reflections and it is easily accessible.

 

 

 

 

  • I am the coach of Football 14B Team at the school and the list of fixtures (14 B Fixtures) shows my committment to the development of Football at Mount Albert Grammar School. The fixtures also provide evidence of my committment to the school, as I intend to provide support to the Sports department with my involvement in the Football programmes.

 

 

 

 

 

  • As a coach I keep contacts of all the players (Football 14 B Team contacts) so that I am able to contact these players and inform them about training and information relating to games. It is an easy way for me to undertake responsiblity for the players in the team.

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • I attended a PD on Reactive Attachment Disoreder (RAD), which was a PD within the department. The aim of the PD was to inform teachers how to deal with students that have such disorders. Attached is a reflection which shows my understanding about the topic of discussion.

 

 

 

 

  • The PRT meeting on 17 June, 2015 focused on developing understanding about easTTle results. The minutes from meeting shows details of discussion around e-asTTle reading objectives, Secondary Schools e-asTTle Progression chart and the Group Learning Pathways Report for different subjects. The knowledge that I gained at the meeting was shared with other teachers in the Department.

 

 

 

  • I have undertaken extra responsibilty at the school which allows me to develop better networking with other members of the commuinty. I am coach of the Football 14B team and I am consistently staying in touch with parents about the development of young Football players. The interaction with parents allows me to know the players better as some of them are also part of the classes that I teach. There are parents that help me with the management of the team.

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • I have taken initiative to be involved in supporting the department teachers with planning for the different modules. The email attached shows the exchange of email between the Head of Faculty and department teachers. In the email the Head of Faculty mentions about the Long term planning template that I prepared with different strands that would be used by the department teachers. It helps me to be involved in supporting the teachers in the department.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Inorder to develop relationship with parents and support learning outcomes of students, I do send emails to parents to inform them about their progress and areas that need to be addressed. This attachment shows a feedback that a gave to a parent regarding the behaviour of the child in my class.
