Justifications RTC 2

 

  • The Lesson observation on 5 June, 2015 shows my committment towards meeting the needs of all akonga. I used differentiated learning to support the diverse needs of learners in the class. I divided the class into small groups with different needs so that I could give more individual attention. It surely helped me to promote the well-being of all akonga.

 

 

 

 

  • To show my commitment towards the well being of the akonga, I offer extra support and time to assists learners in catching up with school work. I was informed by the Guidance Counsellor that a student in class was having problems with coping with her school work as she was dealing with other issues. Therefore, I offered to work with the student during lunch and in the afternoons after school. Attached is an email that I sent to the Guidance consellor regarding a student.

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • I used a Maori Proverb in class with the aim of creating a social environment for the learners and it also allowed other students to acknowledge other cultures and heritages.

 

 

 

  • This lesson was aimed at promoting differenciated learning with extra attention being given to students. There were two groups within the class that were doing different tasks and it allowed me to attend to different needs of students.

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • The poster about Lockdown Procedure is displayed in the classroom to inform students about the steps that they need to take if there is an emergency in school.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • The poster about posting materials with a set of classroom rules helps to set guidelines in the class. These guidelines are meant to inform students about the appropriate stpes that they can take before they post materials online.
