i. systematically and critically engage   with evidence and professional literature to reflect on and refine practice

  • The main topic of discussion for this lesson was identifying topic sentences in readings. The reflection is on different strategies that I can use to enhance writing skills aimed at developing topic sentences.

 

 

  • Based on reading titled 'Teaching Boys', I tried few techniques namely grouping, differentiation and other classroom management techniques to engage boys in my class.

 

 

  • Attended PD on bring Maori culture into the classroom. The reflection shows how I tried to use the knowledge I gained to engage students.

  • The PD I attended on how to be culturally responsive allowed me to understand and meets of the students better.

I used certain strategies that I learnt in the class to build better relationship with the students.
